Napoleon Hill found that successful people made decisions quickly and changed those decision very slowly and after much consideration. He makes the point in his book “Think and Grow Rich” that a person who makes decisions quickly can make TEN decisions in the time it takes another person to make ONE. Even if only three of the ten decisions are correct, that person is at least two right decisions closer to success than the person who only made one.
Want more time in your life? Be decisive! Think how much time you spend analyzing and contemplating decisions. Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that due diligence isn’t necessary. However, I am saying that once you have the information, make the decision and act on it.
Here is a quote from Napoleon Hill to encourage you:
The way to develop decisiveness is to start right where you are, with the very next question you face.
So don’t despair, start now. What obstacle have you been facing? What decision do you want to make? Make it now and act on it! and then the next decision. and then the next. See, you’ve got the hang of it already!
