There are lots of different things that get in the way of being motivated. Today, I want to talk about the most basic, Motion!
Do you ever have trouble getting motivated? I sometimes do. I’m not talking your run of the mill unmotivated here. I’m talking really stuck. stopped. not gonna move forward kind of stopped.
There can be many things at the root of it. There are times I have things to do and just can’t seem to get moving. Other times I have so much to do I am not even sure where to start. Then there are the times I really don’t like. . . I seem frozen, not even sure what I need to do.
I have a sure fire way to break through these times. Works for me EVERY time. Would you like a tried and true way to get through these times? Why do I have the urge to say “BUT WAIT, order today and I’ll double the offer. . . . “

Get out your pen and paper and a black felt tip marker if you have one. Now, make a list. Yep that’s it. However, this is no ordinary list. If you are really stuck, stopped in your tracks and can’t get moving, this is a very special list.
Here’s the secret. Start putting things down on the list in small detail. Break up normal tasks into three or four items. Get a couple of hours worth of things down on your list – don’t over do it.
Now take your list and do one of the small tasks.. Then mark it off . . in black felt tip if you have it. Do another . . and mark it off. And another . . and mark it off. And so on.
Here’s the thing. Writing that report may have sounded overwhelming. Cleaning the house may sound boring. However, I bet you can make an outline. Read a chapter. Dust the living room. Change the light bulb. Vacuum the hallway.
Every item that you mark off the list gives you forward motion to build on and a sense of satisfaction. The next thing you know, you are being productive, even motivated. . . and you are ready to take on the big stuff again.
